Lechovo is well known for its local, traditional pie. The housewives of the village cook these pies quite often in their homes and for their beloved ones. Their specialty in making this pie was the motive behind the organization of the “Pie Fest” that takes place every year in Lechovo. The stuffing of the pie varies according to one’s tastes. It can be minced meat, leek, zucchini, spinach, meat, nettle, mushrooms, rice, onion, cabbage, milk and anything else you can imagine!

The Recipe
For the filo pastry you will need: 2 ½ cups of flour, 1 glass of slightly warm water, 1 tablespoon of salt
For the stuffing you will need: 1 kg spinach, 5 eggs, 1 cup of milk, 500 gr feta cheese, oil for the sautéing
